Welcome to Pulver Studios, located in the Susan B Anthony Neighborhood of the city of Rochester, NY, a nationally registered historic district! OakGrove Development acquired 53 Canal Street in September 2021 with the idea of adding onto the community that we had helped create at 9 Canal Street AKA The Cunningham!
53 Canal Street is former home of the Pulver Chewing Gum factory, where they not only made chewing gum but also the vending machines that dispensed their product! Before then, the three story building was originally built as Schaefer & Schlegel Co., a textile factory that specialized in automobile fabrics and fabrics used in women's clothing. |

Pulver Studios will be Rochester's premier community of interdisciplinary collisions; where creative spirit intersects with entrepreneurism. Pulver will start out as a makers market where all mediums of art and craft will be offered a low barrier of entry to showcase their products and build community with other local entrepreneurs and creatives. Our intent will be that as our residents develop proof of concept for their respective visions that we will be able to offer and build out space for them, go bricks and mortar; take the execution of their vision to the next level!
